Liz Fanora Jones is a passionate music educator, performer, and creative soul who believes that learning music should be joyful, empowering, and deeply nourishing. With over 20 years of experience teaching private lessons and 6+ years of guiding group classes in schools, theaters, camps, and after-school programs, Liz has had the honor of working with students of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities.

Her teaching style blends breathwork, meditation, technique, and a healthy dose of positivity to help students unlock their full musical potential. Whether you're a total beginner or a seasoned performer, Liz creates a warm, inclusive space where students can feel supported, seen, and inspired.

In each lesson she teaches, Liz draws from her diverse toolkit of mindfulness practices to build focus and confidence, theory and musical technique to strengthen skills, and fun, creative approaches that make learning feel like play. From reading music and lead sheets to learning by ear, metronome work, and personalized practice plans, Liz offers a well-rounded, holistic music education tailored to each student's unique path.

Beyond teaching, Liz is a lifelong lover of musical theater, a performer and music director with over 16 years of on stage experience. Last year she performed and music directing in two professional shows in Sonoma County: “Cinderella: A Holiday Family Pantomine” at The Raven theater in Healdsburg and she played Sister Susie Q & music directed “Sister Robert Anne’s Cabaret Class” at the Cloverdale Performing Arts Center. She brings her love for dramatic and comedic storytelling into her work, offering coaching in acting and stage presence for students who want to explore the magic of performance.
